LOL I actally think it's a good idea. Breach of contract. It wouldn't be too terribly difficult to find an attorney I don't think.

What do you think you actually gain? Between the cost and time no lawyer will take this unless dollars are put down up front, I may be missing something but I dont see any reason for a lawsuit with the exception of a few people that are out a couple of hundred dollars.

actually a attorney would be easy to get,..could probably get one to do it for us pro bono(free of charge) or for a percentage of what the court awards us if we win,1600 members getting screwd would draw a lot of media attention,..,after the way thay screwd jason and all us i feel this needs to be dun,..i meet a lot of nice people on sr,an thank the world of a lot of yall,..but i had a legal contract with sr for sponsorship!!! i did my part,..an i need my parts!!! how bout yall

I have thought about it and to me it doesn't make sense. If I could see some tangible result from it other than revenge I would consider it. I have a very good friend of mine that is an attorney, but even at a class action level who is going to enforce the judgment of the court. Bad publicity yes but what is that doing SR is gone. As i said earlier the only folks that I feel have concern for possible legal action may be those that had money donated to them for parts never received.
Another aspect to consider is that Jason would be a focus of any law action and he is the only one i am seeing to try and take care of things. Just my two cents on it all. I am not a big fan of lawsuits but i am sure that you could get many folks involved, I wont be though.

In a law suit you have to prove harm. The majority of those racers never met their goal and are not out anything but a few hours of time. A better choice, in my opinion, would be to get the people in charge to give the it back to Jason, who cares about the program and would see it run correctly. That way we all benefit. Just my opinion, of course.

yep, i get what your saying trash, but i dont want to be mean to jason. i think because it is awarded as a sponsorship that means they can pull anytime they need. it said in the contract it can be stopped at any time for any reason i think. i just wish if we cant get sr back the way it was, we could at least get it back where we could blog and have our pictures, fans and ready about each others day. Smile

I just can't see a lawsuit holding up in court for anyone trying to get parts they reached goals on. However something for the donations that vanished with the site would hold up but you would spend more then you would gain. I'm still out a kart chassis here, Jason (not SR) is doing his best to help me out and get everything settled! Just my .02

Its more than just parts. How many people put time and money into it not including fans donations. They wouldn't hesitate to file a lawsuit against us for breaking the contracts. Contracts goes both ways. They would be held liable for breaking contract and possible damages. Jason can file to for all the trouble they have caused him and his family. I like Jason as much as the next person. I'm not saying to sue Jason. Hell SRPops owns 95% remember? There will be some costs, but if everyone that was owed parts or money gets together, it shouldn't be that bad.

I agree the donations should be returned, but I doubt if it would be enough to justify a class action suit. I want my parts, too, but a court case is likely to settle giving you a few dollars and no parts.
