|
|
I bought my wife a video camera for Christmas and we have a few hours of video that we want to upload to the computer and then DL onto CD. I cannot for the life of me get this thing to upload onto my computer.......can someone help me? The thing came with a CD and it DL'd a bunch of stuff but nothing happens when I plug in the video cam. No direstions either....I guess everyone is so tech savvy these day we don't need directions in 10 languages anymore! _________________ Rob Gray

Is it a Mini DV camera?
If so, you need to use a IEEE1394 port and a firewire...
Your camera likely didnt come with a firewire, and you'll have to buy one... _________________ Jared Bolton

I "cleaned up" my computer and I also got rid of the Cyberlink Media Show that came with it. Then, I struck luck........no I still wasn't able to upload video but I found out that my computer is a piece of trash and it's not got enough memory and the processor is to small, so I threw it out in the rain......NOT! Obviously you know this because I'm typing. I'll just have to quit smoking and put my cig money in a jar to save to get a new computer that can handle tough jobs like washing stains out of my pants It's going to cost me 14 bucks a week to take this thing to Wally World to get CD's made................son of a _itch! Unless there is a way to upgrade this thing without spending tire money?

haha yeah i hear you man...
Im down to like 10gigs on mine lol
For more memory, you could delete a bunch of stuff you dont need anymore... Other than that the only thing I can think of right now would be an external harddrive, but thats a little bit of money for a good one...
Ive been meaning to get an external for like 6 months, but everytime I have 100 some bucks to blow, I end up needing it haha (or wasting it on food... im a fat@$$) _________________ Jared Bolton

If it is stored on a memory card, try plugging it into the USB port. Then, open My Computer. You should see an icon for the camera. Depending on your operating system, you may need to install drivers, but probably not. If the icon is there, double click on it and work your way through the folders until you find the video. Then just copy it to your computer. Basically, your computer should see the camera as if you just plugged in a hard drive. |
