I know their was previous discussion about what it cost to simply have the web site (the real SR (Jason and crew)) hosted. I know some people mentioned a membership fee which I believe Jason fealt went against the spirit of the program.
The question I would like to pose is this:
Would you be willing to make a one time gift to Jason to help pay for the site hosting?
If so how much?

I am curious to know, I don't know if Jason has any interest or not. If this is deemed as the wrong forum to ask this question I would ask that the moderator would delete the post.

Thanks

I would have no problem paying the 20, 50 or whatever, but I think it should be a donation type of deal.It could be a mandatory donation, but still a donation. If it is a membership fee, some of the "bad eggs" may come on and you would not be able to get rid of them because they " paid their membership dues." Just my .02 worth

I would agree that is why I worded the question as a one time gift not a membership fee, not even a donation. Simply a GIFT.

is this a monthly fee, or do you mean a one-time fee? I'm fine with any of those values if it's a 1-time fee.

Even when I think I proofed it I sill missed that, I put in the text of the initial post a one time gift, but then left that out of the poll question.

Yes a one time gift.

BTW I have know way of tracking who voted how, this is purely informal trying to gauge support for the idea in case Jason wants to consider this utill funding is in place. Hopefuly he would consider it.

Nice Poll and yes as a one time gift, I would even scrounge more..great poll and a great feeler. My only condition on this and its nothing personal to Jason if he chose to do this would be a reciept posted or emailed ot all contributors with a running tally of the funds. This while a pain would ensure that there could be no question as to where the money went, there may be another way to do this as well.
Great idea.

Excelent suggestion, if Jason would consider this I would be willing to set up a standalone paypal account. That would be the easist way to track contributors and provide accounting. That way the funds could be sent directly to the hosting site for Jason. Of course Jason would still own the obligation in the event the funds were exausted. But I am getting ahead of my self, Jason has not weighed in on the topic.

Good idea and if you go hungry Todd, eat the cats!

Yep, I'd actually do the one time gift thing. I hit the $20 spot but if it was possible I'd do more.

I just plugged the amounts as a rough guide, ultimately I would envision it would be up to the contributor how much they wanted to give.
