Man am I beat. I think I walked about 15 miles today , my legs are killing me. On top of that I thought my work jacket was in my work truck an it wasn't, just my pants, and it was so Cold in Rhode Island. I really didn't do to much, Just walked around with a walkie talkie turn sprinklers zones on. Looks like we have about 8 more days out there.

As for the work, we don't really have that much going on right now. The boys were saying that 4 guys were not going to be called back to work this year. I really hope everything turns around soon for everyone out there. I also hear that 2 Big Construction Co. here in Ct shut down just last week, Not Cool.

Hey I'm glad you got back there without TOO much delay! I've been laid off since November, but we get every winter off since we work outside... and it's minnesota lol.

I don't have the bills you do though, just a car and insurance payment, so I'll happily stay on Unemployment until they feel the need to bring me back lol.

What is it you do exactly??

Good thing you started back to work in time for racing season! Someone has to pay for this crazy addiction.

Well the first week back is over. I only got 57 hours this week, not bad for the Co. saying we had now work LOL I got to talking to the owner today. He ask me who I wanted for a worker this year, I told him the same guy's as last year. Then he got talking about the work that needs to be done out on Fisher's Island. I told him hold on there buddy LOL That's not my place it's Rich's. He went on to tell me that they are not sure if he's will be returning this year, he screwed up pretty bad last year. Wile he was out on Fisher's Island he did a lot of fishing , everyday. You see you don't get to the job till around 9am, leave the shop at 5:30 for the Ferry . They would then work til 1:30 or so and go fishing the rest of the day. Besides that all of his jobs came in late or messed up and someone would have to go back and fix the problems.

I guess there are 4 other guys that they might not be taking back, at least not in the next month. So our Co went from one Golf Crew , One Commercial Crew and 2 House Crews down to 1 Golf/Commercial Crew and 1 House Crew, Me. I really didn't want to get knocked down to doing Houses but I'll take what I can get. At least I still have a job and I know I'm Lucky.

As of right now I think I'll be running just one Track this year. I've been thinking about it this week and I know I have to do it. It's going to be hard.

Ya I hope we can keep up these hours, it would be nice. As for sleeping in , it doesn't happen for me. I still get up at 6am even tho I don't have to work. The only way I can sleep in is if we go out the night before for a drink or 2 or 3 or 4 Very Happy
