Ok I told this once before but I wanted to tell ya'll some more stuff about it when we were rudely interrupted .
So, where did I stop We started 8th and finished 5th after several hot laps. We raced at the Wake County Speedway in Raleigh NC. The quarter mile asphalt track is named the bull ben for many reasons. One is you can always watch a good race and maybe round or 2 in the pits as well afterward. It's a tight short track to be sure. Last Saturday was no exception to history. You could definelty tell during the heat races those boys had cabin fever and were ready to go. When the green flag dropped on the 50 lap main it was hammer down. Then the pushin', rubbin, spinnin', you name it was on. I forgot how many cautions, not as many as you would think with the action on the track. (like 3 I think)
There were 2 groups racing and action through the whole thing. Shane's car did great, he did great, he got bumped, rubbed and turned and still finished 8th. Out finished by the Langley and Ace Speedway Champions. I think Shane is going to have a fantastic rookie season. His car is awesome on the bigger tracks too. I'm so proud of him and everyone involed.
He got his picture on the front page of the WCS website. He was in 2nd for just a second, the k12 in front is the Langley champion and the red car on the inside is the Ace champion.
The Ucar Clash for Cash series promotor Larry Walls had a videographer and an in car camera. The high lights video is up on the website. We are all up in it LOL. It's quite entertaining to watch. We are the white # 91 Mazda. Here's the link to the website. The video and picture are there.
We come in the video @ around 1:08. Enjoy |

Glad Shane did good, I was a little concerned that his back may hurt him a little, but it sounds like he may do OK. Tell him I said HI~~~Jerry~~~ _________________ www.starvingracers.forumsland.com
