And that's another thing that pisses me off! People who already got stuff bitchin all the time! John you know what I'm saying....you saw my thread I posted about it. The way they were gonna refund the donations in the first place...per johnny, was that they were going to see if any of that donated money was used to purchase points on stuff already rewarded....some people will be waaaaaaaay out of line asking for money back anyway.

True, but any donations after their last item purchased would have to be refunded as I remember reading that the donations you receive go towards your current goal. If they never got that next goal, the donations shouldn't have been used. But I agree with you!
Jason when you see this clarify please so I know if what I am saying isn't wrong and repeat it to others lol

As far as I know, that is correct. If you got donations but didn't get your requested items, that money would be given back. But, if you asked for money back, you were done with the program....per Johnny.

| I didn't want to get into a pissing match with this guy. I have not recieved my request item and am waiting to see what is going to happen. My fans that have donated money knows whats going on and am standing by also. I just want to be in a place that we can all just get along. |

Hey Jason I just got all caught up with what is going on and would like to say thanks for being open and honest about it all. I also have a question or 2.
Since you own the domain name couldnt you trade mark it? wouldnt that make it a little easier to take full control again? and I for one wouldnt mind a small memebership fee to help offset operating costs of the program. Another idea would be to get companies to advertise on the site for a fee as well as offer discounts to racers on the products that they need to help offset the cost of the racers racing program. The points system would still be able to be used as well to earn products as well.
I just thought I would throw that out there let me know what you think.

| Jason thanks for anserwing all the questions. We recently joined the program so we incurred no losses compared to some others. I really hope for the best outcome for everyone involved. We had a fan donate a couple bucks (40)... That's not my concern, I'll pay him back out of pocket if I have to...
The concept of SR.com was to get alot of hits, show that to advertisers at some point and say look what we can offer, this site reaches "X" amount of racers that now use your equipment or reaches "X" amount of people every day from every walk of life... Racers, Kids, Grandparents, Housewives, Office Men, Constuction Workers... You name it they are on this site... Right?
Great Idea, wish I came up with it... Or had the $$$ to back it... If the majority of racers come back, that's a big IF... It will be near impossible to get fans to re-commit as much as they did before "IF" they come back. IMO
You'll be looking at 2 -3 month all in all before anything happens (From the time points were locked, maybe more), now it's going into Summer. More folks out side, less on the computer... Bad timing... I'm hoping I'm wrong...

Jim, I underrstand your concern but if it helps until Jason can get back, I know this is him as I have talked to him face to face the day he said he was coming on here as well as emailed back and forth while he was on. I know thats not as reassuring as him answering your question though but thought I would try to help.

That would not be right, while I dont like the tone I understnad where he is coming from. THis is also a free board....I do not believe he should be edited,censored, or banned otherwise we are starting the very things that the other forum started doing, the best thing is to let the man say his piece, this is a questions for jason thread.

To add to this , yes if donations were not used in the purchase of a requested item they should be refunded if requested to do so. I know this is how Jason feels about it.
The question remains though if SR continues and who has control of it as to who will be able to answer that particular question. I have no doubt that if Jason is able to reserect this that he will do everything in his power to refund doantions to those that request them and they were not used in the purchase of a requested item.
However if items were purchased and recieved by a racer using their doantion money then the money went to the intended purpose and the racer has no claim to it.
I am sure Jason will reitterate |
